Overlooking the bay of Brest, Apiterra provides organizations across Brittany with comprehensive corporate beehive management solutions. Since 2010, our certified beekeepers have helped businesses enhance their green credentials while strengthening local biodiversity and employee engagement.
The economic landscape of Brest is defined by marine science, naval engineering, and digital innovation. Major employment hubs such as the Technopôle Brest-Iroise, the Port de Commerce, and modern business clusters like Prat Pip host numerous organizations committed to meaningful environmental responsibility. These campus-style facilities and corporate premises provide an excellent setting for installing beehives, enabling regional enterprises to turn shared outdoor spaces into visible demonstrations of their corporate sustainability strategy.
Brest features a temperate maritime climate with mild winters that protect bee colonies from extreme cold and allow an extended foraging calendar. The city benefits from abundant floral corridors along the Penfeld river, the wooded Stang-Alar valley, and extensive public parks. From local coastal gorse and heather to varied urban flora, honeybees enjoy continuous and diverse nectar sources from early spring through autumn, ensuring balanced and healthy hive development.
Suitable installation sites include secure flat rooftops with panoramic views, landscaped corporate courtyards, and open greenery surrounding regional headquarters. Our professional beekeepers conduct comprehensive technical surveys to identify sheltered microclimates that ensure full safety for employees and visitors. Beyond supporting pollinators, hosting beehives creates engaging educational workshops for teams and provides bespoke jars of honey harvested directly from your premises.
Above all, it brings people together: hive visits, harvest days, the Apiterra mobile app and the Apinews keep every employee involved throughout the year.
