Installing corporate beehives in Roubaix offers businesses across the Lille metropolitan area a tangible way to strengthen their local environmental commitment. Apiterra provides an all-inclusive beekeeping service, managing everything from hive setup to routine maintenance and honey harvesting.
Roubaix has reinvented its rich textile heritage into vibrant hubs for creative industries, digital technologies, and major retail headquarters. Prominent business districts such as Plaine Images, the eco-district of L'Union, and revitalized industrial facilities gather forward-thinking organisations invested in sustainable development. Introducing beehives into these tertiary hubs or commercial headquarters provides a meaningful way to bring teams together around ecological values, while actively enhancing corporate grounds and modern architectural rooftops.
With its temperate oceanic climate, Roubaix offers a welcoming habitat for honeybees, supported by dedicated urban green corridors. The historic Parc Barbieux, one of the most prominent green spaces in the area, along with the scenic banks of the Roubaix Canal, provides reliable sources of nectar and pollen. Foragers benefit from urban tree species like lindens, horse chestnuts, maples, and willows, alongside residential gardens and city parks from early spring through autumn.
Flat roofs on converted industrial mills, contemporary office terraces, and private corporate grounds are well-suited for hosting apiaries safely. Integrating honeybee hives turns underutilized spaces into positive environmental assets, anchoring your CSR policy within the local community. It engages your workforce around pollinator conservation while creating a memorable corporate experience through the distribution of custom honey jars harvested directly at your facility.
Above all, it brings people together: hive visits, harvest days, the Apiterra mobile app and the Apinews keep every employee involved throughout the year.

Questions about beehives in Roubaix
Can the rooftops of renovated industrial mills in Roubaix host beehives safely?
+
Yes, flat rooftops on converted textile mills and modern office buildings are generally well suited for honeybee hives. An Apiterra beekeeper carries out a site assessment beforehand to confirm safe access, structural capacity, and wind protection.
Do you really work in Roubaix?
+
Yes. Apiterra installs and maintains corporate beehives in Roubaix and across Hauts-de-France, as in the rest of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
Is there any risk for employees?
+
Hives are installed in places away from passage areas after an on-site study. Bees fly up and out of the apiary and are not interested in people. Apiterra takes care of insurance and all legal obligations.
How much does it cost?
+
Each project is different (number of hives, site, options). Request a quote and we will send you a personalised proposal.
What if we have no rooftop or garden?
+
You can sponsor hives hosted in our Apiterra apiaries and still receive honey and news from your colonies.
