In Nantes, a thriving city known for its commitment to sustainable urban development, installing corporate beehives offers a tangible and inspiring way to advance your CSR policy. Apiterra has been assisting businesses with comprehensive turnkey corporate apiary management since 2010.
The business landscape across Nantes is marked by modern service hubs and forward-looking industries with high standards for environmental responsibility. Major business districts such as Euronantes, the creative and technical hub on the Île de Nantes, and suburban commercial zones in Saint-Herblain provide an ideal setting for corporate nature initiatives. Whether within corporate headquarters, modern office parks, or technology campuses, hosting professionally managed hives turns commercial properties into active contributors to urban biodiversity while engaging teams in meaningful action.
Traversed by the Loire and the Erdre rivers, Nantes enjoys exceptional ecological corridors and celebrated public green spaces like the Jardin des Plantes, Parc de Procé, and Parc du Grand-Blottereau. Its mild oceanic climate brings early spring warming and steady moisture, creating a reliable foraging season for honeybees. Urban flora, including lime trees, acacias, chestnuts, and diverse parkland plantings, supplies abundant nectar and pollen from early spring through late autumn.
Corporate hives integrate smoothly into local workplaces, whether on flat office rooftops, within landscaped campus grounds, or along perimeter green zones. Apiterra conducts a complete safety and feasibility audit to ensure the site is fully compliant. This initiative enriches your corporate social responsibility strategy, echoing the green character of the Nantes metropolitan area while fostering workplace cohesion.
Above all, it brings people together: hive visits, harvest days, the Apiterra mobile app and the Apinews keep every employee involved throughout the year.

Questions about beehives in Nantes
Can beehives be safely installed on corporate rooftops in Nantes?
+
Yes, accessible flat rooftops in business districts like Euronantes or the Île de Nantes are very well suited for corporate apiaries. Apiterra carries out a preliminary site assessment to verify safety conditions, wind exposure, and flight trajectories before any installation.
Do you really work in Nantes?
+
Yes. Apiterra installs and maintains corporate beehives in Nantes and across Pays de la Loire, as in the rest of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
Is there any risk for employees?
+
Hives are installed in places away from passage areas after an on-site study. Bees fly up and out of the apiary and are not interested in people. Apiterra takes care of insurance and all legal obligations.
How much does it cost?
+
Each project is different (number of hives, site, options). Request a quote and we will send you a personalised proposal.
What if we have no rooftop or garden?
+
You can sponsor hives hosted in our Apiterra apiaries and still receive honey and news from your colonies.
